The Module 01/04 is the part of a four-module set of the exam prep course for students preparing for O Level/ IGCSE English exam.
It is offered in March, July and November annually.

What Topics Will Be Covered In This Module 01/04?
In this module, you will learn the paper-solving techniques using past papers (2023 paper pattern) for the following topics:

  • Paper Pattern & Focus Skills Overview – Reading & Writing Papers
  • Reading for Ideas, Summary Writing & Fact/ Opinion Questions
  • Reading for Meaning – Comprehension Questions, Vocabulary and Meaning & Effect Questions

 

 

About Instructor:

Name: Ms. Abeerah Jawed
A seasoned English Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Literacy Coordinator, and practicing ESL Instructor with over 10 years of professional teaching experience in international schools (Scarsdale International School, Beaconhouse Newlands & Learning Alliance). I am a highly committed, energetic, and experienced middle and senior school English Teacher, bringing effective instructional skills to significantly improve student growth and development, and possess a proven ability to effectively augment students’ English language skills.

 

Work Experience:

  • Extensive teaching experience of 10 years as an English Teacher at renowned international schools including Scarsdale International School, Beaconhouse Newlands & Learning Alliance.
  • Successfully taught over 500 students in developing their English literacy and language skills.
  • Students’ and parents’ satisfaction rate was maintained at around 80% level.
  • Effectively prepared students to consistently achieve better grades with around 70% being A* and A grades in the CAIE exams.

Attempting the comprehension and vocabulary questions while practising the A* reading strategies. Attempting the explicit and implicit meanings questions, 'own words' questions and vocabulary questions.

It was my first time studying English for my O Level exams online from an excellent teacher Ms Abeerah. The recorded sessions were a great help as it was difficult for me to sign in during the class times occasionally. I have improved a lot and now I can confidently solve my reading paper with the strategies she taught. Thanks a lot.

I’m glad to say that this learning website and its O level course has benefitted me to great extents. The extremely professional and formal work environment along with the decorum of my English teacher Ms. Abeera and her interactive and captivating learning style seems to be a great fit for students who are willing to learn and master the English CIE O level course without any hurdles or difficulties. Miss Abeerah teaches in a very fine way that is evident from the fact that after the lesson has been taught by her and we start to apply the skills and tactics in particular type of questions I don't either feel any complications nor sense anything which must have been told for answering the questions
